Bravesburgh 'Skyped A Scientist' with Iroquois Alumnus, Dr. Theresa Guise, to learn of careers in science-related fields, such as marine biology, as well as learn of the sharks we have been tracking through ocearch.org for mathematics class.
2nd Grade Gives to Others.
Student's have enjoyed cup stacking in Health and PE Class. Speed Stacks can be purchased at school for the next two weeks. Stop in the office for questions or maybe a Santa gift.
Glenn Stearns, the Undercover Billionaire, gave IES teachers a shout-out over the weekend when he met first grade teacher, Mrs. Zukowski!
Well done 3rd grade and talk about Braves TEAMWORK! Mr. Trapp's class worked together to make a giant cup stacking tower with Mrs. Cadden in PE today. A special congratulations goes out to the class from Mrs. Cadden for not knocking it over before she could get a picture!
Mrs. Bayhurst's Kindergarten class visited the office today to sing a song about the MayFlower. Students created their own ships to move along with the song.
The entire 4th grade learned about beach erosion today. Thank you to Dr. Schnars for a wonderful, interactive presentation!

Please come and support the 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students tonight and tomorrow as they perform Elf, Jr. in the IHS auditorium. They have worked very hard to put on a great show for you!
Mrs. Timon's 3rd Grade class used iPads to learn about Mr. Rogers on World Kindness Day.
IES students visited TREC and learned about ornithology! Students studied bird characteristics, identification and wetland restoration! The end ended with a bird watch around Presque Isle!
Some members of the Elf, Jr. cast put on a sample of the Elf, Jr. show for the school board tonight. Please come and support our 4th, 5th, and 6th grade students in their show at IHS this Friday, 11/15/19 and Saturday, 11/16/19 at 7 PM.
Picture retake day is tomorrow, Friday, November 8th. If your child's picture is being retaken, please return the unwanted picture package tomorrow. If you did not previously order pictures, it is not too late. Please contact Ms. Womack in the school office for details.
We're looking forward to meeting with parents tomorrow during conferences. Please stop by the lost and found, which is located in the gym hallway to see if your student left his/her belongings here at school.

Students from Mrs. Eberlein’s class play a game from the highlands of Scotland
#PYDONEFAMILY will be hosting a “Meals Matter” family dinner on Wednesday, November 20th from 6-8pm at Iroquois Elementary. Join us for a family-style dinner, highlighted speaker, and game night. Child care will be provided in the gymnasium. This event is FREE but you must RSVP to Julia Boyd at jgabrys@iroquois.iu5.org no later than November 15th.”
