PAYROLL/PERSONNEL SPECIALIST
Location: Iroquois School District Business Office
ISD is accepting applications for a Payroll/Personnel Specialist. Excellent oral and written communication skills and experience with spreadsheets, account reconciliation, and file management are required. Prior experience in payroll or a related field preferred. Must be a diligent, detail-oriented individual with the ability to work within a deadline-driven environment. 12-month position, full-time, comprehensive benefit package included.

Mentor Teachers
Mentor teachers are needed for new instructional staff new to the District in the upcoming 2024-2025 School Year. Location: District-Wide, As needed basis.
Accepting INTERNAL letters of interest for this co-curricular position. All applicants must be currently employed as a teacher at ISD.

Mentor Selection Criteria:
Must be a tenured faculty member.
Must possess an Instructional II Certificate
Must maintain a positive attitude about teaching and the District.
Must complete Mentor Teaching Training
Must demonstrate a willingness to promote the personal and professional wellbeing of the inductee.
Must have a current mentor application on file.
Should not have a student teacher during the first semester of the mentorship
Should demonstrate a willingness to promote the personal and professional wellbeing of the inductee.
Responsibilities of the Mentor
Establish rapport with the inductee.
Assist the inductee in the completion of the District’s required professional development.
Arrange for the inductee and administration to review established District and building policies and procedures.
Assist inductee in identifying immediate needs.
Help the inductee obtain available resources as needed.
Assist the inductee in establishing effective communication procedures with student, parents, and colleagues.
Serve as a sounding board and be a model/advisor for the inductee.
Be willing to observe the inductee if requested to do so.
Complete summaries, evaluations, and professional development records of the inductee.
Assist the inductee in utilizing technology available to district employees.
Complete end of year program assessment and submit to the Induction Committee one week prior to the end of the second semester. Compensation will be granted as per contract upon completion of evaluation and required forms.
Mentor Evaluation and Monitoring
Monitoring is accomplished as the mentor meets with the inductee once per week for the first semester and a minimum of once per month after that (a total of 23 meetings). Meetings, visitations, and all activities relating to induction will be documented utilizing the forms provided to the mentor from the Induction Committee. Forms provided to the mentor include the teacher induction quarterly log, mentor teacher year-end program assessment, and inductee program assessment. They will also complete a year-end program assessment that will be forwarded to the Induction Committee Coordinator.
Participation and Completion of Induction Program
Participation of the inductee is documented on quarterly logs. Within these logs, the inductee records topics discussed with the mentor, the time, total hours, and date completed. Each quarter, upon completion of the log, the inductee, mentor, building principal, and induction committee member sign off to indicate acceptable participation.
Upon completion of four successful quarters, the inductee and mentor teacher complete and submit a final documentation form. This form acknowledges successful participation and completion of the teacher induction program. A signature by an induction committee member and the Superintendent certify the successful participation and completion of the teacher induction program.

Color Guard Advisor

The Behavioral Support Counselor/Specialist will work within the emotional support classroom, providing specialized support to Special Education students in grades 7-12 who exhibit emotional and behavioral challenges. This role involves developing and implementing positive behavioral support plans, offering individual and group support, and collaborating with educators and families to promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Education, behavioral Science, or a related field.
Experience working with adolescents, particularly in an educational or therapeutic setting.
Strong understanding of behavior management techniques and emotional support strategies.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively, with students, parents, and school staff.
Preferred Qualifications:
Board-Certified Behavior Analyst certificate
Behavior Specialist license
Master’s degree in School Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
Training in specific intervention programs (e.g., PBIS, Restorative Practices).

The Refocus-Reset-Restore Counselor will provide targeted support to students in grades 7-12, focusing on enhancing academic performance, improving behavioral outcomes, and fostering social development. Further, this professional will oversee, in conjunction with assigned certified teacher, students in In-School-Suspension. This role requires a dynamic and compassionate individual who can work collaboratively with students, parents, teachers, and administrators to create and implement strategies that help students succeed in all areas of their school life.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Education, Social Work, Human Services, Child Development, Sociology, or related field.
Experience working with children or adolescents in an educational setting.
Strong understanding of developmental stages and needs of students in grades 7-12.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with students, parents, and school staff.
Knowledge of behavior management techniques and social-emotional learning frameworks.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Education, Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field preferred.
Previous experience in a similar role.
Training in specific intervention programs (e.g., CPI, PBIS, Restorative Practices).

Bus Monitor
Location: District-wide
ISD is accepting applications for multiple bus monitors/cafeteria monitors for the 2024-2025 school year. High school diploma required. Prior experience with elementary/secondary age students a plus. Responsibilities will include arriving on time for each workday; supervise students as they ride the bus to/from school; create seating chart for each bus run. Accompany students to cafeteria and return to classrooms after obtaining lunches; maintain order in cafeteria/classrooms. Ensure social distancing requirements, face masks, and use of hand sanitizer, ensure cleanliness of area assigned. Enforce bus/cafeteria rules and procedures.

Custodial Subs
Location: District-Wide
Accepting applications for day to day custodial subs, as needed. Individuals must possess at minimum a high school diploma and Act 34, 151, and 114 clearances. Must be detail oriented and able to follow specific instructions.
