LONG-TERM SUBSTITUTE TEACHER
SECONDARY MATH

Location: Iroquois Jr./Sr. High School

Needed mid-November through December 22, 2020
The Iroquois School District is accepting applications for a long-term substitute teacher for Secondary Math. Assignment to begin approximately mid-November through December 22, 2020. Secondary Mathematics PA certification required. Act 34, 151, 114, and 168 Clearances required.

    Northwest Tri-County Intermediate Unit Emergency Substitute Teacher Consortium is interested in finding qualified personnel to act as guest teachers to substitute for classroom teachers in local school districts during training sessions and/or leave time.

      Proof of a bachelor’s degree in any field from an accredited college or university

Who is eligible to serve? Must be 17 years of age or older by start date of service. Candidates selected to serve must submit the following documentation to verify their eligibility: Driver’s license / PA State ID card, Social Security Card, Birth Certificate, Proof of Education (High School Diploma, College ID, Transcripts). Additionally, all candidates must be able to pass all required State and FBI background checks. AmeriCorps host site placements may have additional qualifications for their AmeriCorps members.

What will I be doing while serving? SCHOOL-BASED Positions: Members provide focused academic assistance, one-on-one/small group instruction, RTI Model, Credit Recovery, Title 1 remediation and support, Standardized Test preparation, STEM activities, and progress monitoring. Services take place in before, during, and after-school programming in a public or private school settings. COMMUNITY-BASED (Non-Profit) Positions: Members provide academic support services, mentoring, STEM activities and service learning in alternative education, early childhood, and/or after-school programs.
  
What is the commitment and hour requirements? Members selected to serve in School Districts will commit to a full-time schedule averaging 40 hours /wk. for a minimum of 1700 hours. Members selected to serve in Community Based Non-Profit Organizations will commit to a less than full-time capacity in either a half-time (900 hours) or reduced half-time (675 Hours) with a less than full time schedule averaging 20-30hrs/wk.

BUS MONITORS/LUNCHROOM MONITORS
Location: District-wide

ISD is accepting applications for multiple bus monitors/cafeteria monitors for the 2020-2021 school year. Compensation $13.07/hr. school days only. High school diploma required. Prior experience with elementary/secondary age students a plus. Responsibilities will include arriving on time for each workday; supervise students as they ride the bus to/from school; create seating chart for each bus run. Accompany students to cafeteria and return to classrooms after obtaining lunches; maintain order in cafeteria/classrooms. Ensure social distancing requirements, face masks, and use of hand sanitizer, ensure cleanliness of area assigned. Enforce bus/cafeteria rules and procedures.

CUSTODIAL SUBS

Accepting applications for day to day custodial subs, as needed. Individuals must possess at minimum a high school diploma and Act 34, 151, and 114 clearances. Must be detail oriented and able to follow specific instructions.

COACHING/ADVISOR POSITIONS

GARDENING CLUB ADVISOR
Location: Iroquois Elementary School
Co-Curricular part-time position provides 5th and 6th grade students instruction and guidance; plan and schedule quality gardening program, hold weekly club meetings, seek financial support through grants and other resources, and oversee summer gardening program.
